?IT specialists' salaries in Kazakhstan increased by 20%. According to PayWell Kazakhstan 2019, the salary of IT specialists increased by 20% compared to the previous year. It is noted that the average monthly salary of an IT specialist in 2019 in Kazakhstan was 503,000 tenge (before taxes).

?The number of payment cards in circulation jumped by 55% in a year. By the beginning of June this year, there were 38.8 million payment cards in circulation in Kazakhstan — 54.7% more compared to the same period last year (25.1 million cards). 

?An application for people with special needs will be developed at a hackathon in Nur-Sultan. According to the Astana Hub international technopark, the 48-hour online hackathon SOCIALHACK will bring together students from all over Kazakhstan to solve a socially oriented task of developing a prototype mobile application for people with special needs. The hackathon will take place from July 16 to 18, 2020, in an online format.

?Facebook admitted that thousands of developers were able to access user data again. Facebook did not disclose how long this situation lasted before it was discovered, nor the total number of users whose data may have been inadvertently exposed in this leak.

?Analysis of 170 million leaked passwords: interesting findings: big data analyst and independent cybersecurity researcher Ata Hakcil collected and analyzed over a billion rows of logins and passwords, which were scattered across the network and obtained as a result of various leaks. 

Further analysis of Hakcil's data showed that:

 • the most common password is "123456", appearing in about 0.722% of cases, followed by "123456789", "password", "qwerty", "12345678";

 • Only 8.83% of the total password database are unique, the rest appear two or more times.

?Researchers from the Microsoft AI team presented a new AI algorithm that can restore old images without distortion or loss of texture.

?The identity of the hacker Fxmsp, who stole information from more than 300 corporate networks in 44 countries, has been established — a 37-year-old resident of Kazakhstan. 

The hacker is accused of "committing various federal crimes" related to a group of cybercriminals that hacked into networks of institutions, companies, and governments worldwide. According to law enforcement, the hackers were able to gain persistent access to information, which they then resold on specialized forums.
