Thanks to the collaboration with Documentolog, AlmaU University was able to not only reduce the time spent on document processing but also significantly improve the transparency and control of all business processes. The system allows for quick signing, sending, and approving documents in electronic format. This is especially important for exchanging documents with employees, students, and partners. The transition to digital technologies not only simplifies administrative tasks but also demonstrates AlmaU's commitment to innovation and modern solutions.
Documentolog EDI: Paperless Work in a New Format
One of AlmaU's top priorities has been to create an integrated document management system that could effectively cover all business processes and ensure the processing of various types of documents. The implementation of the Documentolog platform has automated document management, including work with both internal and external documents.
To date, all documents, whether internal memos or agreements with external partners, are registered exclusively in the Documentolog system. The abandonment of paper document management, which previously required significant resources for storage and maintenance, has paved the way for the use of modern digital technologies that provide more effective management.
Since the transition to Documentolog, the university has concluded about 10,000 contracts through the system, with over 1,800 documents signed in electronic format just this year. The use of electronic document management has significantly accelerated interaction between AlmaU employees and partners. There is no longer a need to wait for the delivery of paper copies or to find storage space for them, as all data is securely stored in digital form. This approach minimizes the risks of document loss and ensures instant access to them, speeding up the completion of work tasks and simplifying the control process.
Documentolog provides AlmaU with complete control over document management processes, starting from the moment they are uploaded to the system and ending with the completion of all actions. Department heads can check the status of task completion in real-time, ensuring transparency and facilitating more efficient management.
How the Implementation of EDI Changed the University’s Operations
"AlmaU was the first Kazakhstani university to implement the Documentolog system to automate its document management. This allowed us not only to significantly simplify and speed up internal processes but also to make them more transparent and manageable. Moreover, the use of this digital service has improved interaction between employees of various departments and external partners. Processes that previously required approval through several instances and could take some time now happen almost instantly," shares AlmaU Rector Gulnar Kurentkayeva.
The university administration emphasizes that the use of Documentolog has allowed employees to focus on truly significant tasks that require their professional involvement, rather than performing monotonous administrative operations. The freed-up time is directed towards developing strategic initiatives, contributing to the university's further progress and opening new opportunities to achieve ambitious goals.

How the Documentolog platform fights against corruption
Often, corruption occurs in calls for tenders for state procurement. Because often their officials indirectly realize the schemes with the state allocators. Even if a business operates honestly, it can become a figurant in a raiding distribution — simply without notice.
