2026 has been declared the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in Kazakhstan

On January 6, 2026, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a Decree declaring 2026 the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence. This decision marks an important transition: artificial intelligence and digital technologies are no longer an experiment, but a foundational tool for governance, the economy, and public administration.

Why Artificial Intelligence

The declaration of a thematic year reflects the current priorities of the state’s digital policy. According to the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, the key objective is the implementation of digital and AI technologies across all sectors of the economy, as well as ensuring tangible practical benefits for citizens, businesses, and public administration.

Active development of digital services is expected, along with the introduction of AI solutions in public administration and the economy, and the scaling of existing technological initiatives. Thus, 2026 is intended to become a transition stage from isolated digital projects to a more systematic use of artificial intelligence.

“The introduction of advanced technologies will strengthen the country’s potential across all sectors,” the President noted.

What the Year of AI Means for Business and the Public Sector

For businesses and the public sector, the Year of AI signifies a qualitative increase in requirements for organizational digital maturity.

Key priorities include:

      • efficiency and process automation;
      • transparency of management decisions;
      • speed of document and data processing;
      • a high level of information security;
      • controlled and responsible use of artificial intelligence.

Artificial intelligence is no longer a competitive advantage for individual companies — it is becoming a mandatory component of modern corporate and public-sector IT architecture.

Documentolog and Artificial Intelligence

For Documentolog, the declaration of 2026 as the Year of Digitalization and AI confirms the chosen development trajectory. The company was among the first in Kazakhstan to begin implementing artificial intelligence technologies in electronic document management, consistently developing solutions for automating managerial and corporate processes.

In 2025, Documentolog introduced Documentolog 8N AI (D8N.ai) — a multi-agent AI platform designed for corporate and public-sector management.

What Is Documentolog 8N AI

D8N.ai is a multi-agent AI platform designed for use in complex organizational environments. The platform supports scenarios related to document processing, process management, and interaction between digital AI agents within predefined rules and regulations.

The launch of D8N.ai marked the next stage in the development of the Documentolog ecosystem and reflects a shift from traditional electronic document management toward more intelligent digital solutions.

D8N.ai AI Agents

The platform includes a set of specialized AI agents:

      • D8N.Legal — contract review and approval based on regulations
      • D8N.HR — support for HR processes from hiring to termination, including personnel documentation
      • D8N.Sales — customer consultation on the product portfolio
      • D8N.AccountManager — automation of client account management
      • D8N.Assistant — document summarization, draft preparation, and intelligent routing
      • D8N.Finance — financial flow analysis, forecasting, and anomaly detection

Why Corporate AI Instead of ChatGPT?

Unlike open large language model tools (such as ChatGPT), which are designed for mass use, corporate artificial intelligence is intended for working with confidential data, documents, and internal processes. In this context, data security becomes a key focus.

D8N.ai ensures full isolation of corporate data. All documents and queries are processed within a secure corporate environment and are not used to train external AI models. More details on AI security in Documentolog are available in a dedicated article.

Special Offer for Connecting D8N.ai

As part of the platform launch, a special offer is available until February 17, 2026:

      • when subscribing to the Platform plan;
      • D8N.ai is provided free of charge;
      • pricing is fixed for two years.

After the promotion ends, the platform will be available at the standard price.

Strengthening Compliance with Labor Legislation in 2026: What Kazakhstan Employers Need to Know

In 2026, Kazakhstan is strengthening control over compliance with labor legislation. One of the key regulatory instruments is the Unified System for Recording Employment Contracts (USREC), operating on the enbek.kz platform. Government authorities are moving toward stricter administration: from March 2026, administrative liability will be introduced for violations of the procedure for entering information on employment contracts into the USREC. This means employers must proactively establish correct processes for registering and maintaining HR documentation to avoid fines and legal risks.
