An apostille is necessary to confirm the authenticity of an official document issued in one country and accepted in another. The apostille stamp certifies the authenticity of the signature of the person who signed the document, as well as the seals or stamps affixed to it. Thus, the apostille is an important tool for international document exchange.

❓ What is the 'E-Apostille' service?

The 'E-Apostille' service is specifically designed to automate the processes of issuing apostille stamps on official documents issued in the Republic of Kazakhstan. This means that an electronic apostille will be developed through the service, which will be used for the transmission and verification of document authenticity in electronic form.

The Service Software Product (SSP) 'E-Apostille' was initiated by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2018. A project design assignment (PDA) was published on the website https://zerde.gov.kz. After participating in the competition on general terms and passing the selection based on functionality and all mandatory procedures, Documentolog was chosen as the SSP provider.

The development and implementation of the project took 2 years. The project is now in the stage of industrial operation and inclusion in the catalog of service software products.

❓ What tasks will the 'E-Apostille' service help to solve?

✅ Obtain apostille services without leaving home and without providing paper documents.

✅ Optimize the time for providing public services.

✅ Conduct procedures for forming an electronic registry.

Previously, citizens of Kazakhstan could only obtain documents with an apostille in paper form. Consequently, citizens residing abroad faced difficulties in obtaining such documents. Now, thanks to the 'E-Apostille' service, they will be able to receive documents with an electronic apostille online, from anywhere in the world.

❓ Which documents are certified by an apostille?

? Documents issued by justice authorities and other state bodies, as well as notaries;

? Documents from educational, scientific institutions, and educational establishments of the republic;

? Archive certificates and copies of archive documents issued by state archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

? Documents from judicial authorities;

? Documents from structural divisions of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

? Documents from prosecution authorities, investigative bodies, and inquiry agencies;

? and other official documents.

The service will be available on the website egov.kz.

Strengthening Compliance with Labor Legislation in 2026: What Kazakhstan Employers Need to Know

In 2026, Kazakhstan is strengthening control over compliance with labor legislation. One of the key regulatory instruments is the Unified System for Recording Employment Contracts (USREC), operating on the enbek.kz platform. Government authorities are moving toward stricter administration: from March 2026, administrative liability will be introduced for violations of the procedure for entering information on employment contracts into the USREC. This means employers must proactively establish correct processes for registering and maintaining HR documentation to avoid fines and legal risks.
