On November 1, the annual conference "Innovative Technologies for Government Management" (IDC Government Innovations 2016) took place in Astana at the Rixos President Hotel.

During the conference, issues regarding digital transformation in various sectors of the country's economy within the framework of the State Program "Digital Kazakhstan" were discussed.

IDC leaders, supplier partners, industry analysts, and representatives of government structures participated in this large-scale event. The speakers shared the latest trends and technologies used for digital transformation. New solutions for addressing the key tasks set for the public sector in this direction were also presented.

Our company also took part in this event. Kanafin Baizhan Bolatbekovich, the CEO of Documentolog LLP, was invited as an expert in the field of document automation and delivered a report on the topic “Organization of Legally Significant Electronic Document Management for Holding Companies. Activities Before and After Implementation.” The report covered the following issues:

  • the significance of companies transitioning to electronic document management
  • methodology for assessing the effectiveness of implementing EDS (electronic document management system)
  • analysis of the effectiveness of comprehensive document management implementation using the example of a holding company operating in the fields of financial services, retail sales, and consulting.

We would like to note that during this analysis, real figures obtained after the implementation of the Documentolog EDS in the aforementioned holding company were presented, which once again confirm the importance and productivity of electronic document management. Here are some of them:

    •    the delivery speed of documents for review has been reduced from 44 hours to a few minutes;

    •    the time for reviewing documents and making decisions has decreased by 80%;

    •    over 90% of management assignments are completed on time;

    •    72% of registered documents are in electronic format;

    •    75% of documents are transmitted without paper;

    •    and others.

In conclusion, Mr. Kanafin summarized the report and answered questions from the audience.

Among other speakers were Andrey Beklemishev, Regional Director of IDC in Central Asia; Hans-Jörg Kölbl, Regional Sales Director for CIS countries, OpenText Software Austria GmbH; David Tughanov, CEO of Samruk-Kazyna Business Service LLP; and other industry analysts, specialists, and leaders in the field of information and communication technologies.
