The NGO "Union of Crisis Centers" - a professional network of crisis centers in Kazakhstan. The organization actively works to protect the rights of women and children from all forms of gender-based violence and to foster a culture in society based on the values of non-violent relationships. To date, the Union of Crisis Centers unites 19 non-governmental organizations from 12 regions of Kazakhstan.
Since April 2020, the Union has actively used the Doculite service in its activities, particularly the services for exchanging letters with State Authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The organization learned about the possibilities of electronic exchange while interacting with its partner, the NAO "Center for Support of Civil Initiatives".Aizhan Medeuova, project coordinator, executive director of the NGO "Council of Crisis Centers": "The specifics of our work involve close interaction with various state authorities, including ministries, educational institutions, and police in different regions. Previously, when we wrote a letter to state authorities, we had to call a courier, wait for him throughout the day to pick up the letter, or we had to go to the post office ourselves. At the same time, delivery took at least 2-4 days. Now, in electronic form in Doculite, sending letters takes no more than 10 minutes. Working within the system has allowed us to respond quickly to many difficult cases where urgent assistance from state authorities is needed to resolve issues. We hardly duplicate documents on paper."
