PRESS RELEASE

Documentolog reaffirms its commitment to national security and anti-corruption principles.

Astana — June 9, 2025

In response to the publication dated June 9, 2025, on the KazTAG portal titled “Public activists fear for Kazakhstan’s national security due to the Documentolog software situation”, Documentolog hereby makes the following official statement:

We understand the concerns of civil society regarding digital independence and national security. That is precisely why, for the past 18 years, Documentolog has been developing domestic technologies and solutions created entirely by Kazakhstani professionals. We are more than just an IT company — we are part of the country’s digital sovereignty.

Our products:

  • are developed and hosted exclusively within Kazakhstan,

  • contain no foreign code or vulnerabilities associated with external vendors,

  • have successfully passed audits and received accreditation from authorized government bodies.

We also confirm that the exclusive and proprietary rights to Documentolog software are fully owned by Documentolog. We have never transferred these rights to any third parties and maintain full control over the platform’s architecture and security.

Throughout our history, Documentolog has built a reputation as a trusted and proven provider, as evidenced by the confidence of over 140,000 corporate clients across Kazakhstan.

The implementation of electronic document management in government agencies is a complex project in terms of architecture and methodology. For the past 6 years, Documentolog has been executing this project, with more than 4 years carried out entirely free of charge. This reflects our conscious contribution to the country’s digital development and support for the Government.

We sincerely believe that Kazakhstan’s digital independence must be built on trust and collaboration — not on political speculation. The state must not fall victim to attempts by certain players to use media pressure and accusations as tools of unfair competition. Such actions undermine confidence in fair business practices and open competition in the country.

We openly declare that Documentolog has a formal anti-corruption policy in place, and we conduct our business strictly in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Our partners and clients trust us and the platform that significantly influences their business processes. We are proud of our long-term partnerships with the country's leading companies.

Our company has never held a monopoly or privileged position. We operate in a competitive environment, constantly improving quality and implementing innovations. We have earned national recognition thanks to a strong team and the trust of our clients.

We regret that unverified and speculative claims have made their way into the public domain.

We invite media representatives, interested NGOs, and the expert community to familiarize themselves with our company’s operations, platform architecture, and data protection measures. Our work has always been grounded in security, reliability, and transparency.

Sincerely,

Baizhan Kanafin

How the Documentolog platform fights against corruption

Often, corruption occurs in calls for tenders for state procurement. Because often their officials indirectly realize the schemes with the state allocators. Even if a business operates honestly, it can become a figurant in a raiding distribution — simply without notice.
